SonicSquirrel page one day maybe?

Have you ever been in contact with the music of the Cagey House?
Cagey House is Baltimore’s Dave Keifer. Producing primarily instrumental music, since 1999, and he also experiments with sound collage. If you frequent netlabels such as this one, then undoubtedly you have been in touch with the music of this collaging meister. His work has been described as “synth-post-pop-punk-psyche-hypno-exotica.”

For as long as I can remember I have seen his releases from various corners around the globe and from a variety of netlabels too.
And all I have heard had stolen my ears and musical heart on the spot. There is a certain playfulness about the sounds and to me the tracks oft are more visualities rather they are just tonal plays. Dave Kiefer would want to welcome you into his realm of fun and we at Just not Normal think you may just enjoy your stay so much that you will want to seek out more from Dave. By all means go an find!
You may need to as this delight right here will only satisfy your needs for about 20+ minutes. But it will in grandeur!

(we are still seeking for new ways as the personal server is letting me down in sharing mp3’s and SonicSquirel seems to be too full; ah well)

There still is the: zipfile including the artwork 😉

As oft throughout the year electro-music.com feasts on special occassions with a team of performers galore. And so they did on Halloween, be it a day later though, sunday october 31st. One of the sets of that evening was from Jack Hertz.
And I’ve been listening to it now for the last hour. There is but one thing missing in all this; images.
Then again, all you need to do is put this on your player and for a full hour you’ll find yourself in a haunted story. One that happened on a black sunday! Jack features his quisp quake and tells a tale of horror.

Just not Normal goes Hip Hoppety!
The artist also known as Ayato goes here under his Mat U Stone monniker and delivers something extraordinary. Some of these parts may be quite familiar where some of these beats and mad sounds will bust your moves. Now don’t expect a dance floor stomper, but best be prepared to be blown away.
The French are doing it again!

recorded @ la ferme là – Olivet/France – sept 2010

Mat U Stone : Turntable/Analogic filter
Material used is broken/creaked/hip hop/polished/scratched/pasted records.

Another album that was sent to me early March. But it was untill I’ve started preparing this album that I fell deeply in love with the sounds and atmospheres here. As the title of the album suggests, much of its content is based on ice, and no no thin ice in here, but thick and most wondrous layers of ice will subdue you into a parallel world of cristals and frozen water.
When at one point the world may have lost its icecaps there will still remain the memory through sound. My suggestion; dive deep into this spectacular release of beautiful tones and lovely tapestries of delight.

“Für die Soundaufnahmen standen verschiedene Gläser, die mit unterschiedlichen Mengen Wasser gefüllt waren, auf einem Tisch. Diese Gläser wurden zum Klingen gebracht. Die dabei aufgezeichneten Töne wurden geschnitten, gefiltert, modifiziert und zu Tonkollagen verarbeitet.”
Translated:
“For these soundrecordings several glasses fill with different amounts of water stood on a table. These glasses were trembled; the recordings of which got cut, filtered, modified and molden into a soundcollage.”
